The melodic death metal band RYUJIN was formed in 2009 and operated as GYZE from 2011 until January 2023. They are characterized by their fast shredding, heavy riffs, beautiful melodies, and powerful vocals. In recent years, they have been releasing music that prominently features Japanese traditional elements, such as gagaku. Highly regarded overseas, they are one of the leading bands in the active Japanese metal scene.
